Mark completed his medical training at the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 1993, graduating with degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
After a further 10 years of post graduate training in Australia and Scotland – including 5 years of comprehensive specialist training through Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital, Mark became a Specialist Plastic Surgeon in 2004 when he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He undertook post-fellowship training in London as a Craniofacial and Cosmetic Surgery fellow at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital. This was followed by further experience in paediatric craniofacial, head and neck, and cosmetic breast and facial surgery in London and Birmingham.
In 2005, he returned to Perth to work in private practice.
Mark is a founding member of the Western Australian Plastic Surgery Centre.
He is also a Visiting Medical Officer for the WA Country Health Service at Albany Health Campus, servicing the Great Southern region of Western Australia. This encompasses Albany, Mount Barker, Denmark, Bremer Bay and Esperance.
