Dr Quirk has been involved for 25 years in both teaching and research at Royal Perth Hospital and the University of WA, and as worked in private and public sector as a consultant dermatologist. He has conducted drug trials for major pharmaceutical companies and sits on advisory boards of two international companies at present.

Dr Quirk is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a Member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of WAMAS.

His interests include melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer, psoriasis and transdermal drug delivery.
